More Snow!
For a day that was forecast to be partly cloudy with 45 degree temps, it sure didn't turn out that way. We got snow instead! WOOHOO!!! Sadly, it didn't stick around long, but the kids sure had fun playing in it. We had snow showers off and on for the better part of the day here. It was so lovely to watch it falling. That's one thing I sure miss about living in New England. I try to explain that the snow gets really deep back there at times, but I don't think they believe me. The most they have ever seen at one time is three inches. I told them about a blizzard that we got just before I moved to Arizona and that it was snow up to my armpits from one storm, that was over 4 feet. It was like walking down a tunnel when you walked down the plowed road. I thought it was pretty cool at the time. My dogs, on the other hand, couldn't get off the front porch to do their business. All in all, that was a fun winter for me. I do like being able to just shut myself up in the house during a storm like that. Its like your in your own little world and nothing else will bother you and everything is so silent. Course, it sure helps if your prepared for something like that with back up heat, food, and so on.
Finished another tier on the FPS, and started the next one. Only three more tiers to finish on that one! Oh, and the border too. And the blocking. Its almost done though. Its only taken me almost a year to get this far! Still spinning the tussah on the wheel inbetween packing boxes. Our spinning and weaving guild meeting is on Saturday, and evidently I signed up to bring eating goodies, which I totally forgot about until I got a call yesterday reminding me. See what happens when I don't write things down? It should be a fun meeting, since its the yearly silent auction! Sadly I don't have much money to spend on it, but I might find something for 5.00! There is always such a cool array of stuff for the auction. Books, fiber, yarns, tools, anything you can think of that relates to fiber, spinning and weaving. Its a fiber addicts dream day!
Time to run, birdies are calling. Bye Bye!
